Central Vacuum Troubleshooting
If your central vacuum is not working properly, here are a few things to try before giving us a call.
The vacuum is not turning on.
• First check the breaker. Sometimes when an older central vacuum is over worked, the breaker can become tripped. Don’t worry, this is an easy fix! Just go to your circuit panel and look to see if any breakers are tripped.
• If the breaker is fine, try plugging something else into the outlet. If it does not come on, we recommend calling an electrician to look at the power source.
• If it does turn on give us a call to set up a service call.

Low suction at the hose.
• Check the filter. If the filter is clogged or the bag is full, this can dramatically reduce the suction throughout the home.
• If the filter is clean and the canister or bag is empty but the suction is still low,
check the vacuum inlets throughout the house to make sure none are broken.
• Remember, if any of the doors are open or broken, this causes an air leak that will reduce the suction throughout the home.
• If you are still experiencing problems at this point, please give us a call to set up a service call.
